Shy FX

Drum and bass and jungle music legend Shy FX (Andre Williams) became popular on the scene after signing with Sound of the Underground Records (S.O.U.R) following on from the debut record ‘Jungle Love’ in 1992.

In 1994, Shy FX released his breakthrough ragga jungle single, ‘Original Nuttah’. However, the collaborative track created with T Power in 2001, ‘Shake Ur Body’, hit number seven in the UK Singles Chart. The track released from EMI subsidiary, Positiva, saw both club and commercial radio DJs support it, and was instrumental in the rise of drum and bass mainstream popularity.

Collaborations and remixes include working with artists such as Dizzee Rascal, Plan B, Naughty Boy, Wiley, Emeli Sandé, Ms. Dynamite, DJ Fresh, and Chase & Status.

Shy FX’s Andre Williams and T Power’s Marc Royal teamed up to create the Digital Soundboy label in 2005, with artists such as Calibre, DJ Fresh, and Redlight all releasing tracks on the label before it ended in December 2015.
