Groove Armada

Groove Armada began in 1996, made up of Andy Cato and Tom Findlay, and have released a total of eight studio albums, four of which have been in the top 50 of the UK Albums Chart.

The pair were introduced by a mutual friend and began their own club night in London named ‘Captain Sensual at the Helm of the Groove Armada’. Their first album ‘Northern Star’ came out in 1998 and was followed by ‘Vertigo’ on 1999. The mainstream sound of ‘Vertigo’ saw it reach the UK Album Chart’s upper 20 and be silver certified in the UK.

In 2009, the pair released an album called ‘Black Light’, which aimed to show a darker side of Groove Armada, and included the single ‘I Won’t Kneel’, which included their new vocalist, Saint Saviour. Groove Armada’s music has been featured in video games (Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc) and films (‘The Girl Next Door’).

Groove Armada’s single chart successes include ‘At the River’, ‘I See You Baby’, and ‘Superstylin’.
